Solanki's notorious forgetfulness in Davos!

The then Union Minister for External Affairs, Madhavsinh Solanki, had handed over a false and fabricated note to the Swiss authorities in Davos with the intention of scuttling proper investigation on the Bofors illicit money. When caught red-handed he said without any sense of shame that he did not know what that note contained but has just passed on that note to Swiss authorities when it was given by some person with instructions to him to give it to the Swiss authorities.

When asked who that person was, Solanki said he could not remember.

Such a patent lie on the part of the External Affairs Minister, had not only brought shame to India but had also exposed the extent to which the politicians collude with one another in their acts of treason. (More on The Hindu 18.07.1992)
